Les Pérégrinations de Pierre |
Carrying on my way north, I have been spending a couple of days in Salta in the north west (NOA region, noroeste Argentina). A bit of history, the town is located in a fertile region and was created in 1582 in order to supply cattle and food to the nearby mines in Bolivia. It boasts some very nice colonial buildings (adobe walls, hay roofs).
I have visited the city of Jujuy where the Argentinian Flag was blessed. I am now in Cachi, a small village at 2,200m above sea level. Very buccolic but very calm ... I am heading back to town for the week end tomorrow!!
