Les Pérégrinations de Pierre

Bouquet final of my visit to Bolivia: the famous southwest circuit! From Potosi I headed south to Tupiza where I bought an organized tour. 4 days, 3 nights from Tupiza to Uyuni in a jeep shared with 4 other ‘gringos’

We went through colourful landscapes,

Witnessed some geologic activity,

Spent nights playing cards… and trying to get warm,                     

Seen local flora and fauna,

Had a mechanics crash course,

Walked the salt flat,

And visited a few old locomotives

I stayed 15 days in Bolivia. I am leaving the country already wanting to go back. I liked the warmth of the people, the hearty meals (soups, tamales,saltenas...), the amazing landscapes. I have only stayed on the altiplano... the northern and western sides of the country are worth a trip...
